If you want a really quiet amp build the PSU in a separate case.

Which, of course, is overkill, one of the things we can do with reckless abandon in DIY.

My F5 uses a non-shielded Antek and is very quiet.

As you know now, 6L6, the cover is more as an amp, nudies, aestetics
thing for me. If i use 2 transformers, they will be closer to the amp boards too. Thanks for all your help so far 6L6 !

I'm also running a non-shielded Antek in my F5. The only sound I hear are electrons committing suicide inside the MOSFETS....(!). It's very quiet.....
