If I've understood correctly no, but not a pure voltage source either. The output impedance is about 4-8 I think.

Also asked myself the question. One day i shall try with higher B+ and less amps. Might suit the SIT even better.
one more question, suggested power supply use CRC with 1ohm which seem higher than standard FW series, i don't the purpose whether to limit current or drop certain voltage. So can I use CLC supply which will also supply my AlephJ? I'm planning to put the psu in different chassis, hence I can switch and play with different amp.

thanks sir, always concise answernow prioritization is always difficult, impact analysis,severity, and complexity just like my daily work. my dac will cost more+longer built than AJ+SIT
but that's the joy of hunting not-easy parts. anyway what will be the value of good class a amplifier if the source is laptop headphone out 
there is another working point to cut half dissipation for headphone ?ps I have the KE ones.....
