K170-V for B1

Can the K170-V be used in the B-1 build? I am assuming it can be just has more mA draw then the BL and GR versions.

Yes, but the side effect is that each jFET dissipates more power.
They will run hotter.

Use BL versions (lower Idss) for constant current source - works great.
