I built a B1 buffer with no source selector to keep it as simple as possible. It sounds great... compares favorably to my friends Audio Research LS15.
I am wondering if I can sum the hot outputs to create a mono line out to a subwoofer that is still controlled by the attenuator? Thanks. |

I didn't sum, but had two sets of outputs on mine, so then i could stereo a sub or two, works fine for me. I don't see an issue at all with summing and then having a mono out.

Thanks. I will try using external patch cords first and take a listen. If it flies I'll install a proper jack on the back.

don't know your sub amp, but doesn't most plate amps have stereo RCA/phono input, and thus the signal is 'summed' by sub module

I am trying to bypass any connections between my main power amp and main speakers.
My goal is to have a separate parallel line to feed a simple mono sub. |
