well im a bit confused hope someone can explain me a few things....

i was reading passdiy.com and this topic and i dont understand 100% the diferences between the 7 variations of ZEN amps....

Zen Variations 7 is better than Zen Variations - Part 6 and Zen Variations - Part 6 is better than Zen Variations - Part 5 ? so if i want to build the best amp i need to build he Variation 7?

Each variation is designed to illustrate a design point or solve
a particular interface problem. Which one is the best amplifier
is an open question.

People tend to make ver4, as it is the most explained.

In my opinion ZenV4 is better to my ears and speakers than the A30.
I have both and enjoy both alot. To my horn loaded Tannoys, ZenV4 is a bit better but not by far.
Also ZenV4 is easier to build as it does not need mosfet matching. Drive capability is a bit better with A30 in case your speakers are less than 90dB sensitive.
All in all, both are trully excellent amplifiers all around.
I really try hard to outperfom them using tubeamps for the last 3 years, but I always keep coming back to Pass disigns, no mater what I try(yet).
