I've searched for a long time and none of the usual heatsink companies have a profile that fits the original Aleph 3's design, has anyone found anything similar? I really liked that look, wonder why no one does anything similar nowadays.
Thanks, Brendan |

I like Mr. Pass' use of rectangular aluminum tubing on aluminum plate.
You might be able to find some of that stuff locally at a metal/salvage yard.

Hi,
I am faced with a heat sink problems too! ,I am about ready to use a computer trick I used a few,,,,lol.Years ago in school, water cooling a processor,I don't know how to predict how much a 1"x4"x8" Aluminum tube with water flowing through it will cool but I'm going to build 2 and put some FETS on them and see if it will do it ,Heat sinks are getting more expensive and alot of +500 watt amps resort to fans for cooling help, any Ideas!!!! I hope to regulate the flow verses heat with a Temp regulator controlling the pump water flow,,,,,Maybe someone knows how to squirt freon directly on the heat spot of the device being cooled ,that was next on the project list but I Graduated and got a job, lol. |

What I'm contemplating is custom machining them, but I think that'd be prohibitively expensive material wise. Maybe laser or waterjet? Or maybe Mr. Pass has some spares?
I is hopeful. |

well email Mr.Pass and ask him if he has the die set If not find a cnc machine and have some cut,If you can find some surpluss aluminum,I know you can buy a ingot
I used to cast aluminum and steel parts for mills ,but they are long gone now but if you could find a small operation you might be able to buy a run and sell them to others in need for them ,I would check the sites for parts here,I haven't looked lately but one vendor would cut to size for you and maybe heatsinksusa.com Good luck!!!
