Hi all,

I'm planning to build an Aleph30 and I happen to have a number
of IRFP044's on hand.

The rails of the A30 are at +/-25V. Given the drain-to-source
breakdown voltage of only 60V for the IRFP044's, I suspect they
may not be suitable.

Should I give the 044's a try or would that be flirting with
disaster? Or perhaps I should just get some IRFP240's?

Thanks,
Dennis

IRF244

Where to find them?????

Hi, Im a Newbe in making Amplifiers, but after some reading of several threads it came a bit clear to me. How the circuits are working and what everything stands for.
I want to upgrade my system (Commercial NAD 317 integrated amp, NAD 514 CD, Dali 505 Speakers, in which the filter allready had ben changed)
Amp has an extra set of Pre out.

I was thinking about A 30-40 Watt Amp. Don't need that much and planning to get rid of the amp by making an BOSOZ.

So me eyes felt on the Aleph3 / 30(thanks to MR Pass). and the A40. First I will try to make the Aleph. If that works, make it a continued story.

But in a store Near Rotterdam (dordrecht) Ther where no IRF 244. :bawling

Does anybody in the Netherlands where to buy the Matched IRF244, or are there substututes without makking any changings off bias and current gain?
