Convert a Pass Labs x350 from 110v to 220v

Hi there!

I'm from Argentina and I want to buy a Pass Labs X350 power amp from the US market (audiogon)
So, is there anyone that know how and whether it's possible to convert the ampli to the EU voltage/Hertz i.e. from the 110v/60Hz to 220v/50Hz?

X350 had a dual tapped primary transformer. For 120V
operation the primary taps are run in parallel and for 240V
they are run in series. A competent technician should be
able to make the alteration.

Ha, you wish. But a competent tech will have no problem spotting the correct taps. I wouldn't be surprised if it is even marked on the silkscreen. Soldered or screwed?

Hi guys, Does everybody know if Nelson's comments relate to the pre-amps as well? I mean is it possible to change 120V -> 240V the same way in X2.5 pre?

according to info I have , you can configure it's toroid primary to whatever between 100 and 240Vac

These have dedicated transformers for each Voltage so no.

Sorry to be a PITA Nelson, but is it the same on the X100.5 monoblocks?
I ask as I can get a pair of these for the same price as a X350.5. Only the shipping will cost more due to the extra weight. From what I have read, there is a small increase in audio quality when going from a X250.5 to a X350.5, but a huge increase when going from a X250.5 to X100.5 monoblocks. Plus I don't have to worry about a wife's approval! many people have commented when they see the amount of audio gear in my house that "you don't have a wife, do you".
