BOSOZ PS Question

The original project calls for one power supply board for both channels. Has anyone used 2 PS for the project?

Or, are 2 PS boards not nessecary?

I haven't built one personally yet, but when I do I will use two regulator boards, if not two seperate transformers- one for each channel. It's just a way to get better channel seperation- a "dual mono" approach.

As long as the single supply has adequate current, there
is no reason you can't use it.

As an experience with BOZ preamplifier , an extra filtering portion in the original circuit is a nice thing , and it produce good results . I used two PSU with much larger condenser banks. The difference I found between the single PSU and a double one is a slightly better imaging and detail in favor of the double PSU. The single one, anyway, was adequate to drive both channels.

To answer your question, you only need a single power supply board, it provides sufficient power to drive both channels. However, you will find that people around here make two boards to go dual mono. I have also done this but it certainly is not necessary. You could also increase the capacitance or make other modifications to suit the result you want.
