even if 1 common CL60 is adequate for 400VA toroid , second one can't harm
your call

Are the 2x18V AC secondaries enough ? We can get lower than 23V after filtering.
Or better to have 2x20V ? In BA articel Nelson says: " our goal is to have approximately +/- 25 volts on the supply rails. Voltages from 18 to 30 volts are acceptable" Is the 25 V a little better than 23V in the F4 ? |

it doesn't make much difference , because most speakers are current hungry , so few volts can't change much
reason for discrepancy is simple - say that 18Vac is industry standard , same as 24Vdc is industry standard these two are the "same" when PSU isn't heavy loaded ,as it certanily is in A class amp duty so - just sort of contextual talk
