what's BII ?
change that LM based reg for D1 to proper shunt reg
I have in mind Salas low voltage regulator, but there is a specific or non specific Nelson Pass shunt regs for the I/V?
it's hard to say that Papa B. isn't shunt aficionado , when he made one of most brute shunt regs around
anyway - whatever you change - you must recheck that important point .
if you have no intention to use proper shunt instead of dreky LMs - at least put proper cap multipliers between them and D1 ;

Like this:
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Wich is the maximum value for R6 to increase gain without increase to much the distortion?
Did anyone created a "board" for the D1 ?
thanks
Phil

Wayne - just curious ......
you use 1704 instead of 63 from sonic , or availability reasons ?
The PCM1704 was used for the 24/96 update. The PCM63 was only 20 bits.
I still like the PCM63 sonics and the guys who designed both like the 63 better for some internal reason. The 1704 had less current swing hence the use of two.
Just curious too
Would it also apply to pcm 1794 in the same way?
