Amazing for me is, that nobody else have realized the HCA idea from Yamaha: advantages from both topologies: perfect sound quality from class-A and good efficiency from class-B.
With help of the MX-10000 schematics this cannot be a serious difficulty - go to Yamaha's Hyperbolic Conversion Amplification (HCA) Circuit I would prefer for the correction amplifier the "easy to build" single ended ZEN topology, downscale for the lowest possible voltage supply. And for the class AB part ordinary push pull topologies according the wanted output power. |
