Default Gen 9 Mosfets

Anything particularly special or useful about these new MoFETs?
Are they good for audio?

These particular MOSFETs are only 'special' when used in their intended application - as switching transistors in mains power SMPS off 230/115VAC. Their on-resistance and gate charge are somewhat lower than older, equivalently rated parts, so they are certainly an improvement if you're looking for a cooler running, more efficient power supply.

They'd certainly work OK for audio but I couldn't see anything outstanding to set them apart from the rest of the pack.

This whole DIY, espescially the Pass Forum has been Born of using transistors intended for one application finding a use in another at what seems wildly off the charted specs. As we venture foreward into the future of solid state with high amperage handling hybrid electric assist/sole power automobile power we will see many advances in solid state technology. In short we will have many new toys to play with in the near term future.

You may Quote Me on that.

Regards, Elwood
