Those SiC power jfets from semisouth sound very interesting indeed. Perhaps in light of their intended application, I can order them through my work (we deal in renewable energy solutions and electric vehicles).

As for what topologies to consider for the X, I am still absorbing the information here in wonder. Circlotron is very interesting, as is pure class A zen style. Of course I have read some of the threads on circlotron-zen creations. I think I will just go ahead and build some Zen style amps and play around with SUSY and such, in the name of prototyping.

I am running a backlog these days. The only thing
remarkable about it is the voltage front end. The rest you
