I'm wondering if somebody uses IRFP9140 instead of IRFP9240 in F5.
According to the specs IRFP9140 is closer to IRFP240 than IRFP9240 in terms of max current, transconductance and input capacitance. Plus it's two times cheaper on digikey. Thanks. |

the irf240/irf9140 are reputed to be a far better matching pair.
It is worth trying this. The F5 voltage suits the lower voltage rating of the 9140.

Thank you, AndrewT. I will try.
PS. They have a bit different Normalized On-Resistance vs. Temperature curves but gradients are the same in range 50-100C. It should not affect thermal stability I guess. Last edited by frags; 8th September 2010 at 05:18 PM. |
