hi jon,

ok, i understand now. i will use ALPHA15 and BETA15 per side, i guess will benefit from b5 isnt it?

I wonder if the B5 has any current-source filters for the likes of F1 - F2.

The input to the F1 and F2 are both typical voltage based inputs, and the B5 will work just fine with them.

Just as an FYI, the F2 j-fet is an especially nice amplifier. It is both single ended, and has the j-fet, so it sounds like a really nice SET. But it also has extended highs and lows into a fullrange driver due to its being a current source amplifier, and is cleaner sounding. Highly recommended if you can get one.

At this time I can't compare it to the F1 J-fet because Nelson won't return mine.

Not enough to be used as a gain stage, but it is a good buffer.
