Pictures of your diy Pass amplifier

answer to MEPER

Hello Meper,

do you mean wtih 'braided screens' my braided cables?

If you mean that, than they are real. This means the screens are grounded to the
case as a shielding. I used this in every of my amplifier builts.
This is cable from the german company LAPP KABEL.
The cable is named LAPP KABEL ÖLFLEX CLASSIC CY110.
You can get in black or clear coated, in a lot of dimensions (mm² / AWG)
and with many amounts of stranded wire. I love this cable. :D

Cooking an M2X

Hello members,

I had a problem to adjust the output offset on my M2X build.
I completely screwed down RV1 on the mainboards and although had an offset
at the speaker outputs of circa - 44mV to - 50mV on both channels.
So, I followed 6L6s advice: the 'blasphemous heresy' way.
I changed R6 to 37.4 kohm and changed the trimpot RV1 to 20kohm.
And voila! All is absolut nicely adjustable. I could adjust the offset on both
channels to below 1mV. I think that is really good.
You see the measurements on the pics, which have been taken all few seconds.
So it is fluctuating a little bit. It is regulated.

I change now to the M2X thread. Don't want to post all twice.

Cheers

Dirk

I posted pictures in the build thread but this is near final aside from the finish

My Sissy SIT closed up but not yet finished - needs anodized or painted, not sure yet

It could be an interesting Salvador Dali picture with melted DMM's.

I am sure it came close. the entire chassis settles at 50 deg C :D

Sadly just primitive tools - I used a diamond blade on a small circular cutter to trim edges and remove fins etc. The holes in the top plate were like that when I bought it - it came from a metal art supplier and this stamping pattern is apparently popular with metal folk artists. I liked it and thought it would improve air flow

Cooking DMMs

Hello MEPER,

since your hint with DALI I have pictures in my silly, incurable brain! :tilt:

Everything is in a flow and melting - DALI-clocks, DMMs,......

And I found the reason for my non-working TUCSON - boards. It were not

the boards, not my switcher, not the long cables,...

I report in the M2X-builders-thread.
