One stupid question?
Ok I am cloning Pass Labs X2 Preamp. I have a bunch of FQP4N20 is that ok or I have to go to the IRF610.

I might be tempted to reply but, I don't believe I know what an X2 looks like? Schematic wise I mean. Maybe you could help me out there?

You are cloning Rev. 0&1. It is similar to the Aleph-preamp-series.
Rev. 2&3 uses the UGS-module.
Forget cloning and try to buy a second-hand X1, if you want to save money.

I agree with your fun. But you should try to get the best-sounding solution for you. And this is the "UGS-version", which sounds more dynamic compared to the "Aleph-version", imho.
Or: do you think that Pass Labs has changed from the Aleph-series to the UGS/X-series only for commercial reasons?

Ok lets forget about X2. What with the Balanced Zen Line Stage would that work with FQP4N20 without modification in the circuit or should I go for the IRF610

Very nice design but 2SJ109 (practically impossible to find, 2SJ74 lately the same as 109), Thanks hm4nine but I will stick to projects whose parts I can find

Then I suggest you Zen Mode´s Pumpkin PreAmp, which is similar in some way to the X0.2. Zen Mode also offers serveral kits to overcome any parts problem:
