I plan to bulid a pair of BOZ pre amps and I have a chassis that is only 1.75 high. I searched through my digikey catalog and the only transformer that I found suitable is only 12VA (mt2236-nd).
Is this transformer too small for the BOZ? |

you'll need to get a transformer from Plitron, Avel-Lindberg,
Victoria Magnetics... just to name a few companies that provide quality product. Mr. Pass mentions Avel-Lindberg in the BOZ article. They currently have a new line of transformers with different model numbers, but there is an equivalent model. as an aside you may want to look in to building the Balanced Zen Line Stage, as most feel that it's a better sounding circuit. (even when used single ended) Do some searches and lots of reading to get a feel for what you want. good luck, m. |
