Can anyone provide info on selection of a driver for El Pipe-O ...
Edit: Oops, this should be in the Loudspeaker forum - reposted there - see Choice of driver for El Pipe-O |

Maybe, but I noticed that El-Pipeo initially got more response
here than in Loudspeakers. |

At least follow the criteria for TL speakers mentioned here I guess
http://www.diysubwoofers.org/tls/ And measure the height of your ceiling

Just this weekend I pulled my old Kef transmission lines out of the garage and gave them a birthday. (amazing the things that get done when in the sin-bin).
These cabinets are 900mm high by 450w by 450 deep, with a B139 mounted in the top left corner, and multiple internal panels to give a folded path 3 times the height of the cabinet. I am using a Dod 18dB line level crossover, feeding 100Hz and down to the TL's via a big Panasonic amp, and 100Hz up going to an Amcron D-150 MkII driving a pair of Kef 8" 2 ways mounted on top of the TL cabinets. This combo is around 450W total I suppose, and works bigtime. Nicwix, if you go to the trouble of making TL's, I expect that you will find the results very worthwhile. Nelson - For pretty impressive bass, try a listen to the 8 minute version of Madonna's "Nothing Really Matters" after about 4 minutes in. On my system, the couch massages the kidneys and blurs the vision. Eric.
