I always feel like I am hijacking this forum when I ask a 400a question...
My 400a's power switch/breaker (JC1-AB-B8-A) failed a while ago. I was able to get some similar form-factor switches and made the swap with no problems. So far so good. I was trying to help another 400a owner replace their failed switch but they say that their switch "snaps in" rather than aitches via screws as mine does. Of course the production runs will have switches from a variety of vendors but I have not seen a "snap in" switch. very 400a I have seen has visible mounting screws above and below the power switch. Have you seen otherwise? Do you know of a replacement switch/breaker? Thanks, j |

There was a version which used a standard type snap-in.
I think you can find the replacement at Digikey or similar vendor.

about Threshold's "T-400a" (T400a) I have never heard and don't find informations. I think, it is Threshold's version "400a" from the follow URLs and attachement:

Unfortunately I cannot give advices therefore. But I can say, that versions for low costs are not really good quality regarded life time and reliability. I have heard about versions for disass'y, where the contact devices are to replace. Try to find such a version. On this thread you will find an overview about other kinds of main switches, but some of this brands offer also rocker switches: Top quality main switches for audio-hifi comp (Rotary and Pushbutton Power Switches) B & K 501A mint FET transistor curve tracer, for Osh Russia - JPCTRADE X Yahoo!
