Phono sction: threshold Vs forte audio

maybe my question is irrelevant but I hope it can stimulate a good discussion

I'm looking at a good phono section and thinking of the following products:
Forte Audio Model 2 (or others) (pre with phono input)
Threshold Fet Nine (pre with phono input)
Threshold Fet Ten PC (only phono)

So, I was wondering what kind of differences I may have.

Is the philosophical approach the same, and so the sonic effects, or there are more and/or other differences?

According to your opinion, which one you prefer(/own) and why?
