Pass is again represented at the CES,
Booth: Venetian Tower 29-140
So, I was wondering, is there any news you could share with us?

Ooooh shiny! So, "UltraSymmetry" - are there new tricks? We are showing SR2 loudspeakers and these concept
amplifiers which are two chassis monoblocks.
😎
One pair is blue, the other pair is white.
You're in luck - there is a switch to turn them off.

led switch notwithstanding, I'm gonna wait for balanced asymmetry before i jump in
more seriously, the guts of those amps are beautiful - i particularly like the large slabs of aluminum tying the cap bank together. What's the reason for the multiple power entry points on what appears to be the same circuit board - is it for layout considerations?

That's delivering PS voltage and current without having it run through a long pcb trace to supply multiple paralleled output devices...

I'm sorry, but where are the TO3's?????
TO3's, TO3's, TO3's...
I NEED CHROME!!!!
Those wimpy little plastic squares just don't do it for me.
No matter how much wine I drink, I just don't think they will turn into TO3's, even if I put little bags over their heads.
Plastic squares are for girly men...
;-)
(Nice work Nelson, can't wait to hear/see them!)

They save the TO3s for production amps, no need to waste them on the concepts.
Or they've used up all their stash already?

I do not like those blue leds in the analog meter...
I like them, especially the small highlights they emit. The casing has nice chamfers, too. The "bull's eye" is a bit too contrasty to the rest of the casing (for my liking of course), dark grey would be perfect.
I always found this info from the X1000's Owner's Manual inteesting:
"If you need even more power, X1000’s can be operated in series and parallel arrays.
As a practical matter, we offer peak output levels to 64,000 watts."
This concept amp seems to be a more elegant solution for MORE POWER 🙂
