I picked up a Threshold T 100 a few weeks back and was wondering if anyone here had a Schematic and service manual for this amp? A gentleman over on the Audiogon site was kind enough to make copies of his operation manual for me but did not have the schematic or service manual.

I would be happy to pay for a copy of .pdf file of them if someone here had them. Or, maybe some direction to where I may be able to find them out there. I have been trying to locate a place to purchase on the internet but have come up empty.

Thanks, RC

Eeh, because the T-100 has the Toshiba GT20D outputs ?
IBGT's, Menace or Death ! :clown:

First time i saw an image of the insides of the T-100, it looked as Mr Bladelius took the boards of a Forté Audio Model 1/3, adapted it for IBGT outputs (i gathered that the output stage doesn't participate in the NFB loop, feedback around the input stage sets the gain), and stuck them in a more fancy looking Threshold case.

Goggle the Forté Model 5, identical board, but only 4 of 10 seats taken.
To find the T-100 layout, find the Forté 5 schematic (likely similar story as with the Model 1 and Model 3)

are these transistors really unreliable ? Then the best way it is to replace against discrete clone of a BjT/MOSFET Sziklai (CFP Pair) with good available types.

Of course only possible if one has the necessary simulation software and experience. Additional one must be able to modify the front end for stable operating at all loads with the new output ones.

20A/>200V/TO247 IGBT replacements are likely easy to order and way cheaper (often sale items), but why bother ?
For Class A, just use Verticals at a buck a piece or power bipolars for two.
Even in the early '90s, the IGBT's were stinking expensive.

(Aargh, typing IBGT instead of IGBT, i'm turning dys-electric)
