I should probably post that on "swap meet" forum so feel free to move it there , but I want to try here first anyway.
I stumbled (again) on my 10 yrs old PCB boards for ZEN and BOZ pre and seems like I need to finish them as I can't get myself to dump them . Yes, I know they're outdated and all new stuff is 500% better-I don't care, I have boards , transformer, case, caps all I need areTRANSISTORS: 2-IRF610 2-IRFP9140 2-IRFP140 2-MPSA92 Anybody with spares in parts box? TIA. L |

I would figure on substituting IRFP240 and 9240, as they
are easier to get. The MPSa92 is just a generic pnp transistor, and there is a large number of subs for the IRF610 - just about any 10-20 watt N channel mosfet will do. |

I also have some spare Zen boards as well as a working Zen and BOZ.
I remember reading about paralleling or bridging these amps but something that has stuck in my mind was a comment from Nelson that a bridged and paralleled Zen was awesome (or words to that effect). Any views on this compared to building newer Pass designs? Also, can anything be done for the poor old BOZ? I presume a bridged/paralled Zen would need a balanced pre in any case?? Thanks, sp |
