unbalanced

hello
i am building aleph60 with unbalanced input. I dont need balanced input. do i need R3, R6 and C17 in the circuit.
is DC output detector recomanded if anything go wrong. (if the dc
on the output the speakers are off.)

Yes, you do need R3, R6 and C17. For unbalanced operation connect the -IN to ground.
DC ouput protection circuit is an option, but it usually means having relais contacts in the output signal path. Not everybody likes that. Basicly that's up to you to decide.
