I have a pre XP20 bought in oct 2008 is percfect and my friend instead a pre XP20 bought a month and are different with one another without the gain and advantage, but with more gain in volume. I want to know what changes and why this choice.

It was a request from a large distributor. It is a software change that just makes the gain switching automatic instead of manual.
