Default Aleph J in bad shape

Hi boys and girls i found a Aleph J on ebay in verry bad shape.. I want to bid myself but i cant .. anyway here is the link

Nelson Pass Labs First Watt Aleph J Power Amplifier - eBay (item 310187246081 end time Dec-14-09 11:37:53 PST)

maybe someone here will make it alive again ..

Wow, very bad shape is right! Snap-In capacitors ripped right off the PCB, transformer looks like it is in sad shape, wonder what happened to this thing. Hmmm, may have to keep my eye on this one, lots of work, but a nice early Christmas present and winter project.

naah ..... already 300++ greenies (wakoo spoiled kids )

If I ask Papa politely - maybe he have pair of beaten or scratched 'sinks for that money ;
that's all needed to have real Papamp

True, it is about 4 time more than I have spent on a Zen DeLite, though I have little doubt that the Aleph J is better... or at least different. Had to start one after finding 300watt light bulbs as Home Depot for $4. I could use a heatsink for that project *wink *wink.

edit: I would be a nice piece of Pass history (and listening gear) though, decedent of the wonderful Aleph 30.

I think by "coil" they mean power transformer?
Looks like something big and heavy was bouncing around in there,and the covering on the transformer windings is all shredded..
