I would fear to alter the sound though it might be enouh for a laptop output.

I do not know about audio transformers but my friend told me that there are hi-end solutions. He said that quality audio transformers are not as same as normal transformers. He said their winding type is different and they sound well

Hello Peter,
Have you tried other values as feedback resistor?
In the other F5 thread I've read that you used 2x150ohm as feedback instead of 2x100ohm.
In my current F5 built I've also put 2x150ohm, next weekend I'll try 3x150ohm just as experiment.
Regards,
Danny

Jensen, CineMag, some UTC, others are possible - not hammond for this.

Cheaper ways to get gain for certain...

Default Killed a channel

Argh. I managed to fry a channel adjusting the DC offset/bias. What component did I likely destroy, or should I just rip out the channel and rebuild it?

Thanks,
C

Most likely one of the irf's or both and .47 ohm resistor along with it.Also I would check 10 ohm resistors next to jfets.
Good luck.
