Hello everybody,

I am new to this forum.

My question may sound strange to you pass labs experts, so please give me a hand...

I want to build an extraordinary good transistor amplifier and I have come across the pass labs dyi activities on the net. Since I am used to listen to tube amplifiers, I look for a really superior class A design, and I have a feeling I may find it here. Now my question:

Where can I get contruction plans for the pass lab amplifiers? I looked at the pass lab website and could not find that information. Which of the apparently large variety of Aleph versions is recommendable? Where to buy printed boards etc.?

Please help! And many thanks in advance to all of you from Hamburg, Germany.

Zen variations made on Diyaudio.com applying Nelsons patented Super Symmetry also called SuSy or X:
XSOZ -> Son Of Zen with Super Symmetry, balanced poweramp.
XBSOZ or XBOSOZ -> Bride of Son of Zen with Super Symmetry, preamp for XSOZ and SOZ.
---------------------------------------------------------
Aleph series

Aleph-P Stereo pre-amp
Aleph Ono mc/mm phone pre-amp

Aleph 1,2 200 watt mono block
Aleph 2 100 watt mono block
Aleph 3 30 watt/ch stereo
Aleph 4 100 watt/ch stereo
Aleph 5 60 watt/ch stereo"
(this list need updating..)

Browse thru pass-diy, and you will find the .PDF files for owner and service-manuals...

Rob,

the schematics for the legacy Pass products (Alephs) can be found on the bottom of Nelson Pass' commercial homepage under 'legacy products' http://www.passlabs.com/products.htm, all of Nelson's special projects for the DIY community can be found on the Pass DIY homepage http://www.passdiy.com/.

A good selection of PCBs with additional information is available under http://web.vip.hr/pcb-design.vip/. Very good quality boards and reliable service.

Viel Spass,
Andreas
