FirstWatt J2

balanced J2 with LU1014D?

Will a J2 made with LU1014D have similiar performance?
Does LU1014D have any other disadvantage (higher distortion), other than having a low 24V voltage tolerance.
We can run the LU1014D at +/-12V.
Assuming the output goes to +/-10V, with balance amp we can get:
50W into 4ohm
25W into 8ohm
That should be more than sufficient for a non-mono-block class A for many of use.

Been there myself.

You run into the wattage limitation of the LU.

I've been clear on this - the schematics of the J2 will be
released when production ceases. I'm tired of the
commercial clones using my trademarks, claiming to be
accurate reproductions.

In the meantime, you should have enough smarts to cobble
together your own versions based on the simplified
schematics. Much more fun that way.
