I already posted this question on the Head-fi forum but I'm not getting much response and there's not much in the archive. Tried searching here as well but no luck.

I don't know what the specs are on those headphones.
But that is exactly what I was intending to use my F3 for (ie headohone amp). With the higher impedance of a headphone you can drop the capacitance at the output of the amp and use better quality caps (eg Elna Silmic). |

The specs are as follows:
Impedance: 120 ohms Sensitivity: 74dB for 1mW (free field) Power requirement: 100mW for 1 Pa Power rating: 1000mW (test noise to DIN 45582), corresponds to ~104dB |

Using your 74dB figure.
I get a bit over 100dB. Is that loud enough for you? |

Oh, hell ya. I never listen that loud. I turn it up enough to have some impact and bloom but not to the levels where it blows my eardrums out. I get tinnitus easily so I have to watch it - and playing drums for 30 years has taken it's toll. The sacrifices I've made for rock "n" roll . . .
