Default ZV7-T meets ZV8

I have been re-reading the Zen articles. It struck me that a Jfet version of the Zen V7-T could run on an F series PS and Case / Heatsink.

Here is my version 1 Block diagram.

Thoughts would be apreciated.

Doug

It's scattered all over the Pass section here, so the best way to find a complete thread is to go here:

Comments and questions.

First of all, very cool design.

The air core inductor is brilliant.

Questions, you do not need / didn't find it advantageous to adjust the cascode FETs separately?

Why use the source resistors? Wouldn't the CSS auto compensate?

With the CSS limiting current, does it put out less power into 4 ohms?

The X feedback caps look much larger than required. I would have guessed that 10 uF would be overkill.

How did it sound? I would guess it was very low distortion, and quite dynamic.

Thanks for sharing.
