I'm building an F1 and am considering using this as my power transformer:

Is this too much? If I do go this route will I need to buy different components than the ones listed in the BOM in this thread? Please help.

There's nothing wrong with an oversized transformer, if it fits your budget. This hobby is all about overkill.
Then step up to more overkill for far less money. I use their HV transformers in tube amps with no problems.
