The new COOL-smily looks really 'cool', but it's not the red COOL-Papa-Smily anymore. Do you miss it yet? They should give it back to you! 😀

The new one has the wrong smile, which does not accurately
convey my outlook.

First Watt started as an unusual start-up company/DIY-charity-mixture. Since then the kitchen table has become very long! (Watch the photos! 😀) I guess the time has come for First Watt to become grown-up. Coninuity for the dealers and distributers? 😀 Oh, that sounds so nice in my ears! (I worked as a wholesaler for years!) But equally important for the survival of a company is of course continuity in production and... proceeds! 🙂 Your son and nephew have a unique chance here! I wish them all the best!

I am planning on building all the F series plus A30 and A-J. So far I have finished the F5 and tweeking the F3 right now. My A30 blew up but I am waiting for a new chassis which should be on a slow boat from China right now. I love my new hobby and can't wait to build more of Mr. Pass's designs. 😀

Not at all. I have been taking opportunities to let people know
that I will be bifurcating the FW offerings into commercial
product and things which go straight to DIY.

Of the DIY, I will probably build something like 10 pieces for
commercial sale, just for those people who really want an
original.

Nice trip description and pictures. Can I ask what papa has for analog system? (Table, cartridge, phono-pre). I read somewhere Nelson uses a Grado Sonata?

I saw a reference on the Firstwatt site to a B3 preamplifier with gain - is there (or will there be) a DIY schematic out for this one? Will it be waiting till the end of a commercial phase also?

I cannot help myself, I am excited to hear what you have come up with.

When people lament that this hobby is not what it used to be one only has to consider the sense of discovery and fun that is alive within your head and your sharing it, and the inspiration that inspires; makes these days as good as any.

It's on hold - simply not enough time to juggle all the
projects at once.
