2x25 V toroid for aleph 3?

Hi !
Can i use 2 25 V tereoids for an aleph 3 ? Or is it too much with the voltage? They will probably run hotter than with 18 Volts. I'm using 2 haetsinks, 0.3 C/W each for stereo. Would it be enough heatsinking?

You can do it, but then you have more like an A5.. And your HS will be above 60'C.... I'm using 18VAC in mine and 2*0,25C/W HS -> a little more comfortable at about 50'C

i think i will use the 18v tereoids then. >60 degrees is kinda too much i think.

Well, I did exactly the same mistake and ended up with +-30V and 80C on the heatsinks... But after all, it may be not that bad: I will put some chokes to form CLC, lower the voltage and the ripple
