I have a few questions regarding the B1 buffer preamp and hope someone can help.
1) can i use the B1 buffer solely as a buffer with no volume control? I would like to use it as a buffer for my current preamp. 2) If the above answer is a 'yes', then to where do i connect the volume control wires and how do I connect the B1 to my preamp? 3) Is there any audible benefit in doing the above? 4) Can I just use a transformer with 12v secondary without regulated supply? I have attached a photo from other diy people, but i do not know the value of the transformer. Advice on a suitable transformer is most appreciated. 5) There's only a (+) for the power supply, the ground and the (-) goes into the same area? Thank you very much. |
