Hello friends,
I study an upgrade of a FET-10 He preamp, and the circuitry/power supply upgrades are quite defined. In addition, I would like to improve the chassis, and more precisely to reduce the vibration of the box: similarly to what Mike ELLIOTT (from Counterpoint) does on some of his designs. I am looking for a plate made of a damping material, that could be easily cut, and not too thick (max 0,5 cm) to be installed between the bottom of the chassis and the mother board. Do you know some websites from which I can order this kind of plate ? Thanks |

Felt, AFAIK Mike E. uses felt under pcb to reduce transmited vibs.
The same felt often used by La Maison de l'Audiophile inside their speakers. If you are looking for a sticky material to damp "ringing" boxes, Parts Connexion might have some. |
