Default Aleph 30 voltage gain

I am getting confused about my Aleph 30's voltage gain; I use it unbalanced, and the service manual states that single ended gain is 26 dB (that should be 20V/V), however I only seem to reach 20 dB (10V/V) shorting the negative input to ground.

I know that I am missing something, but what?

PS some images of my complete Aleph 30 can be found here:

Lightbulb Ok, I found that....

The service manual is "wrong"... 20dB is the right gain figure.

Cheers

Andrea
