How does Pass labs Class A designs compare to the late John Lindsey Hoods Class A designs from years ago?
Has Pass done any A B testing? |

I soon will be building a JLH (Geoff's 2005 version) with two pairs of 2SA1943 2SC5200 Output Devices. I also bought a real deal Aleph 5 a while back (don't tell the wife) and hope to do a comparison.
One of these days I will finish the Brian GT Aleph 5 that's been 90% complete for about a year, I just need to free up some time....currently spending too much time building a 6SN7 Aikido linestage, and enjoying the Aleph....

I still own different versions of JLH Class A and Aleph-X. And JLH BJT is still a very nice and smooth sounding amplifier.
There is very little to choose from between the two. Patrick |

Best amp I've ever heard, the JLH96.
I have to say, I've never heard a Nelson Pass amp, but I've heard many amps, both valve and SS. Mind you, I'd never even heard of Nelson Pass until I joined this forum. Nelson-Jones, yes, Nelson Pass, no. |
