I have a diy-(X)ONO, and would really like some more gain for MM.
(stock=40dB). For MC, there are 2 jumpers, but MM is fixed... Any hints how to increase MM gain wil be most welcome! Arne K

Reducing the 100ohm resistor R21 will help within limits. A lot of people have simulated the design so OLG must be well known. This will give you a hint of the max CLG before riaa gets affected. I am sure you can easily squeeze in an extra 10db.

Thanks!
Any guess how low I can go on R21? +6-8dB would do the difference, I guess. Arne K

The best answer would come from someone with a working simulation - a PM to Stefanoo may help. At +6db you should probably also raise the 220uF caps proportinately to the reduction in resistance if you are using them.
