IRLZ34 good for anything?

o.k. so ive got several tubes of these things bought for a canceled project at work, destined for the garbage.
here are some numbers
Vdss=55v
Id=30amps
PD=68watt (to-220)
Rds(on)=0.035 ohms
gts=11S
Any opinions?

hello.
datasheet comments: logic level type,used for switch mode power supplies...........
perhaps use it for normal powersupplies or constant current sources........
greetings........

True the "lz" denotes that they are optimized for logic level gate operation.I originally intended to use for controlling small motors.
CCS usage is a good possibility. if i runn out of projects (yeah right that's gonna happen) aybe try in a Aleph mini.
I have over a hundred of the things.

You can make a Zen out of it.

:cool:

Wow a lot of zen
Hmmm as simple as the zen was I must admit that I never tried one, maybe for the Ipod in the office.

My face is red, suggesting that a pass design be connected to a disgusting IPOD. I should be flogged with a burning hot heatsink for that one!

I have an Ipod...

No reason to get serious about this stuff.
