boxes are ML TQWT + helmholtz , work of previous owner - Zoran Dimovski ( known as Zoran here )
drivers are RCA LC1B ; you can't find page dedicated to them , just bits 'n' pieces here and there ......

maybe one day I'll make small package of info I already have .... and I'm trying to find

I am still working with OB with Lowther and now Alpha-15A's.
Were you thinking about a design with 15A's?

I didn't hear smaller Sonidos , but my friend (spavleski ) have them (SFR144) , in horn made according to Sonido plans .

difference between smaller and bigger - everything what you can expect , regarding sweetness , volume and bass ....... SPL , too .
but difference isn't dramatic in any case ...... most important is that they are of same ( high ) quality
regarding Alpha 15 - I have some personal xperience using theam as helper ( in tests with my ancient Iskras and similar drivers ) ; some results are HERE and some are in our local Serbian forum .

anyway - no matter what you do , consider G. Maynard's T bass network as a must ..... more quality than quantity-wise

ZM, I have been looking over this circuit. I assume you mean quality parts in circuit, as opposed to 1000VA trannies..
If your suggesting lower value parts, well I might be lost on the matter a bit, except some mention of the series choke being reduced with parallel drivers.

The question is , what do you mean more quality than quantity?
Nicer parts, same value....I assume? The first post by Graham suggest building as stated for running one or two Alpha-15A's per channel.

The next question, all my own, could be a recommendation on what to cross the lowther dx4 @.

I am thinking maybe 6db FO is could here, with an L-PAD after.

quality/quantity - I meant that you'll gain more quality in bass department , than quantity ...... and I think that's good

regarding FR + helper(s) ......... name of the game IS to not put any attenuating device in front of FR (main driver) ;

cross it in region of 300-35-Hz at 6db/oct .

anyway - read MJK's paper ....... again and again , if needed .......
