Default Looking for opinons about 5 x Alelph-5 for bedroom HT.

I am inquiring about getting the build list and a source for
the Aleph-5 PCB with the intension of building (3, then 2)
channel to replace the HT receiver in our bedroom.

50-60W is all that is needed for the front 3 channels. The
expectations are high being spoiled by our 2-channel
tubes/ESL setup.

I am not speaking from experience since I'm only halfway through my very first DIY amp, a standard Aleph 5. But, in my very humble opinion you could approach this as five separate channels by purchasing five separate Aleph 5 PCBs from Kristijan (http://web.vip.hr/pcb-design.vip/) and following his suggestions for 5 separate power supplies. One for each channel. This is essential what I'm doing for my two channel Aleph.

Regards,
Dan

Hi Eclam,

I would consider to build the two front channels on the base of an Aleph 5. For the other 3 channels, I would suggest to build Aleph 3 instead of Aleph 5, because they provide more than enough power for these channels, and it will save you some electricity and heat in your bedroom...

Or do you need so much heat in your bedroom?

Lucas.
