I've just been doing Id vs Vgs curves on some N channel lateral mosfets.
2 observations.
1) Below 400mA some tend to oscillate (no gate resistors used), above 400mA they appear to be fine
2) Id vs Vgs curves using DC (not pulsed) at realistic operating temps give curves that are virtually straight lines not parabolic

Been obvious for several years, but only now becoming a concern (for some)!

(I hope so at the same time above there aren't any humanlike or just slimy creatures are with same thoughts.)
