………………………... Was to rubber doc today with the M/H Racemaster. He suggested screws to the rim to hold the rubber at full gas. Whats the general dodo experience?

The elastic band at the open end seems to hold the rubbers on quite adequately. But if the doc suggests screwing them on, then listen to him….there are enough Dodos around already. [I suppose that it being so cold in Scandanavia has something to do with them slipping off?]

But if it is a problem send a personal message to Jacco; he is our resident rubber expert. and will be able to advise you of your best, most satisfying options.

let alone lap!

Who's you calling Pink here, pal ?

It's a drool distributing device, and as you crude donkey pumpers know, an old well requires ample lubrication of the drill bit.
A shine and a polish is no good for deep hole drilling, old ones need a drill head with a booster, and a steady toolpusher to guide the stem.

You're not one of them Texan queer roughnecks, are you.

Not you Mister,

Having spent some of my hobby hours rebuilding sports car engines I know well enough when a wet liner is missing or has ceased to function as intended. I also know that it is a job for specialist hands to get them to work, or a time for propriety preparations to be used to assist smooth running. [Is that where Cal's appetite for cream comes from?]

As for those roustabouts wearing pink gingham shirts and horny hands, they are only there to do the work which true DoDos would refuse to do - it would interrupt the flow at the pub. But, I am told, that they are a friendly mob who seldom refuse to give management - or their friends - a hand.

As for me - I prefer to work on specific naturally lubricated machinery.;) After l'age certain….forget it.
