The Pass Pub: The High-End Off Topic Thread

hey, I have a quick question :) I made a mistake on a PCB and accidentally put a line filtering cap (X2/Y2 type cap) on the secondary side of the trafo instead of the primary. There really isn't room to put a series resistor with this capacitor, which seems might be necessary for a proper snubber. There isn't any sort of line choke on the primary to generate spikes, just line voltage on the other side of the transformer and a fuse. Anyways, my question is, is there any benefit at all from putting a capacitor in this sorta non-standard location?
