The Pass Pub: The High-End Off Topic Thread

Thanks Cal…………a new tool (to me that is) for creating mayhem I guess. :D

Probably one of those down South weiner pooches has a doomsday sense of fun! ;)

Not RV's new lad…he looks as though he would concentrate on the foodie thread, post, and whilst everyone wondered what was happening he would nip in and pinch the best dish of the day….probably drinks Martini as well, and will only travel in the back seat of a decent car. He must get to walk a lot!!

Crap. Sonny went on summercamp. 1 week w/o mum or dad. Im dissolving in atoms. Whats he doing now, is he happy, can he sleep...did he find that warm woolsey I putted in the extra compartment... he has probably not even glanced at thinking of me in the middle of oceanbathing and pillow wars. Nevertheless...

He is on this place called Barnens Ö (Kids island) outside Stockholm. For very long it has been a place for labour class city kids to get out of town when their parents have to work all summers. As times got better even for workers the concept nearly died a while but now its highest fashion again. Its a wonderful thing, I hear its super leaders and the kids gets a memory for life and just wants to go back.

Here is a scene from the movie Barnens Ö (Kay Pollack) about Reine, 11 yeas old (exacty what I was 1979) who gets sent to Barnens Ö but decides he is grown up and jumps off the bus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmKfzEuinZc

The scene is called Raggare (greasers), a very popular subculture in Sweden at the time.
