Just an older 2 core 3ghz but the software is all the latest. The material I want to transfer from the G5 Power Mac is written with OS 10.4 type software. Setting up what is compatible is a pita. Even my dsl modem is incompatible so got a new one yesterday....but there is a lot of stuff I need on the g5 and most of that is in MSWord/Excel.....the 'fix' for this causes many crashes when using the g5 in HD mode via firewire!! Also have a large pic library but have a new copy of CS which makes that foolproof...and Capture One will import anything image wise.
Only changed as the g5 was insecure for web use. It will be a standalone for keeping track of money and straight letter writing etc! Love the new set up though. Last edited by brianco; 16th June 2012 at 10:02 PM. |

Sounds familiar (minus the library part, that sounds somewhat/somehow organised)

Very pretty, Gyuri. Must be even more special for real, up close.
(other than that, you're one step away from the cuckoo's nest)
