The Pass Pub: The High-End Off Topic Thread

Back in the day I was working as a limousine driver. Mostly fun job. Regular business meant making a lot of airport runs, getting people to and from SeaTac airport. One evening my pager goes off: can I grab a sedan and make it to the airport? Sure, why not? When I get my client to the car, I automatically open the rear passenger door and she tells me, "Please, I'd rather sit in the front. I've been on a plane with nobody to talk to for hours!" I get her in the front and we chat all the way to her condominium, and during that chat I find out she is a producer for Northern Exposure. (As of today I realize it was likely Diane Frolov.) She was calm, gracious and interesting, and we would meet again on later airport trips. Those were the people that made the job enjoyable.
